O

Soundcloud / Facebook

In a short time, O has gone from playing house parties through cardboard amplifiers to packing some of San Francisco's favorite venues and spilling crowds onto the streets at it's smaller ones. In a city where the music scene is often described like it's on it's deathbed, something wild and vibrant has emerged with O at the forefront, exciting the Bay's youth.

Chaotic, undiagnosed and bacchanalian in the extreme, determined to overthrow and throw up in the process, the local frenzy has come solely on the base of the trio's live show — until now. It's with immense excitement Hit City U.S.A. announces the band's first official releases, Ireek/Deepthroat Love via its For Immediate Release digital single series.

Given their utterly unsearchable name by the same man who donned The Who The Who, O is pronounced as the letter, but is also a circle or a zero or a hole, and is about the closest to thing possible to having no name at all. Without any prejudiced association, that means O is open to its audience's own interpretation, letting its music fill that same void the name creates. As anyone who has seen the unbelievable performance of 6' 8" frontman Gregory Di'Martino whipping drummer Rob Mills and assorted young steeds into delirious frenzy will know, that sometimes a time comes that needs a band and a band appears to take us furiously into that dark outermost edge. O is that band.
